Original Description:
This ornament is a true, rare gem. It has a mouth blown globe bulb that was hand made. It is not perfectly round and the pike actually settled as it cooled. The glass is paper thin and the light gold color has aged over time to a golden amber patina. As you can see in the photos, it is almost transparent and it's amazing that it has survived! It was found in a barn during an estate sale and although the maker or country is not known, it is thought to be an English or ear...ly German made piece created before glass ornaments became popular to decorate Christmas trees in the late 1880 - 1890's.  We encourage you to view all the available photos before committing to your bid, best offer or purchase as we do consider them part of the listing.
