Vintage 1962 Nuclear Bomb Effects Computer Calculator Lovelace Foundation with Original Accessories ~ RARE
From 1962, this Nuclear Bomb Effects Computer is extremely rare! Designed by the Lovelace Foundation for Civil Effects Test Operations under contract to the Division of Biology and Medicine of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. Two sided, 5 ⅛”. Also includes the original paper sleeve and instructions for use, as well as two plastic circular maps, one is sc...ale of 1:50, 000 and the other is 1:100, 000 (in hundreds of meters).
In excellent vintage condition, the paper sleeve has a mark on the back, and the plastic scale maps have some bending of the plastic (see pics as part of description). Please remember that vintage items and books are just that, are pre-owned, and may have been sitting on a shelf for years, they may have some mustiness about them and, even if they are in excellent condition, they are still quite old!
