Here is an Amazingly Well Preserved Lepidodendron Tree Stump! This is at least very SIMILAR to the World Class Quality of the Gilboa Tree Stumps from New York State! Notice the Buttress Like Structure of the Bottom of the Stump Similar to an Extant Cypress Tree! This specimen is made of mudstone and measures 14 Inches Long X 12 Inches Wide and weighs approximately 100 Pounds. This is from the Rhode Island Formation, Plainville, MA, Carboniferous Period (302 MYA). Winner covers all ship...ping costs. I have reduced the price on this WORLD CLASS SPECIMEN which would easily get $500.00 at the Tucson Show.....I am unable to mail this owing a bad back so it is pickup only.....well worth it if you are in New England or NY State although my Son offered to move it for me.
