Vintage Original Very Rare Victor RCA Nipper Victrola .A BIT OVER 10" ..LIMITED EDITION ANTONY VISCO SCULPTURE...
Authentic and Rare "Nipper" listening to "His Master's Voice" Statue by Anthony Visco Trademark of RCA Corp. The Nipper dog comes with a Real Walnut Wood Plaque Base that reads: "NIPPER" Listening To "HIS MASTER'S VOICE" Trademark of RCA Corp. The bottom of this plaque has a Certificate of Authenticity attached that reads: On August 15, 1986 the RCA Distributor and... Special Products Division in Deptford, New Jersey, commissioned Anthony Visco to create this sculptured likeness of the original "Nipper" listing to "His Master's Voice"- the Famous Trademark that was first used in the United States as early as 1900. Mr. Visco is a renowned Philadelphia sculptor, who studied at the Academia Delle Belle Arti in Florence, Italy and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Philadelphia College of Art where he was later engaged as an Instructor of Sculpture. Mr. Visco's talents have been nationally recognized as a recipient of the coveted Fulbright-Hayes Grant and the Greenshields Foundation Grant for private study. This "Certificate of Authenticity" assures the recipient that this is One of a Limited number of "Nipper" statues cast from multiple type molds which were duplicates made from the clay model sculptured by Anthony Visco. The original mold was then destroyed. These "Nipper" were cast, and individually finished by old world artisans of Creative Decor, Incorporated. THIS "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY" IS ATTESTED TO ON THIS FIFTEETH DAY OF AUGUST IN THE YEAR OF ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY SIX........... Anthony Visco Sculptor..... This is a wonderful piece of advertising History from RCA . He measures approx. 10" high ( 11" when sitting on the wood plaque ). He is quite heavy (5 1/2 Lbs. ) He has a Felt like velvety Flocked surface.
He is in Great Original Condition
with No Breaks ..Cracks or Fractures.These are sometimes found missing the Wood base...
