Title: Vintage Sewing MachineDescription:Presented for your consideration is this vintage sewing machine. The portable sewing machine was made by Singer and is a model 221 featherweight sewing machine. The all metal machine has a black casing with an ornate gold colored border around the top of the platform. There is also a design done in gold coloration in the center of the platform. "Singer" is marked on the lamp hood and "The Singer Manufacturing Co." is marked on the arm. At t...he bottom of the arm, on one side, is a small round plaque that reads "The Singer Mfg. Co. Trade Mark." Underneath this plaque is a smaller plaque that reads "221." The top of the motor is also marked with "Singer" with the Singer insignia on the front of the motor. Underside of the machine is marked with the serial number which is AM784882. This is an electric sewing machine and comes with the foot pedal and cord. Also comes with the original instruction manual, an assortment of attachments and bobbins, and the original carrying case. The belt is in very good condition and all moving parts move easily. At the time of listing the machine is in WORKING condition. Guaranteed to be old. Dates to the 1950s. This sewing machine would make a great addition to any sewing memorabilia collection! A great item to display in a textile shop, sewing room or tailoring shop!
Some tearing of the lining is present on the top of the case lid. Machine itself is free of any damage, outside of some very light age and use wear. No dents, dings or breaks. Overall the machine is in EXCELLENT condition while the carrying case is in GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Machine measures 16" wide and 7 1/4" deep at the base and 9 5/8" tall.
