ITEM DESCRIPTIONA beautiful quality antique English oil painting.A fine young gent in a dark jacket.Dating to c. 1830.Oil on canvas, not signed that I can see.Housed in a wide gilt gesso frame.Measures overall 53 x 61cm and the canvas alone is 35.5 x 43cm.The painting has not been touched for a very, very long time, there is two old repairs which haven't actually been badly done, there is overall craquelure and it will need cleaning etc.The frame is solid but in a... poor state and again very dirty, if you win the auction and do not want the frame I would be happy to remove the portrait which will also bring down your overseas postage costs.Very fine piece of English painting.Don't forget this is a 10 day auction that ends on Sunday 23rd June!Please take a look at my other antiques.International buyers always very welcome!
