Description: A very rare charming Antique English solid sterling silver novelty pin cushion modelled in the form as a roller skate with four free spinning wheels with a red velvet material pin cushion pad. The roller stake wheels are original to the boot shaped body. There are no engraved initials, monograms, crests or inscriptions. A splendid example from the King George V period who reign from 1910 to 1956. It's of 109 years of age and would make a wonderful addition to a collection a ver...y rare object.
Maker & Date Hallmark: Maker Chrisford & Norris . Date hallmark 1910 and assay mark Birmingham.
Measurements: Length 6.8 cm, Height 5.7 cm and Width 2.2 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition with some wear, does have some light dings and looks to of had a very small repair to the top of the shoe laces but only ever so small and nothing thats too visible. The four wheels are freeing spinning and work as they should and only have some light wear. The red velvet material is in excellent condition with only some wear from use. Not sure if the material is 100% original. The hallmarks to the side of the shoe are very good just the makers mark is slightly rubbed from polishing. Overall a quality and hard to come by pin cushion which is ready to be added to your collection.
