Up for auction is an antique bisque fashion doll. She has French features, but I've been told that she is more than likely German. She has fixed brown glass eyes, bisque closed mouth head with pierced ears on bisque shoulders, bisque swivel arms and cloth body. She is wearing what looks to be a period correct antique dress, but it has sun faded on the front as you can see by comparing image #1 & #2.
She measures approx. 14.5" long. She is marked with a nu...mber "5" on the back of her head - there are no other markings on the head or on the shoulder plate.
CONDITION: I checked with a light and I found no cracks or hairlines on the head. There is a small chip near the left earring hole (see image #5). There is chipping on the back top edge of the shoulder plate (see image #8). There is some color rub on her right cheek. There is some fabric loss on the bottom of the dress and sun fading and some stains on the cloth body.
