1986 LINCOLN GREYHOUND PARK PROGRAM - AMERICAN GREYHOUND DERBY
This program featured what some considered the strongest assemblage of mid-distance greyhounds in the country that year.The winner would join the past winners REAL HUNTSMAN, FELDCREST, P.L. GREER, DOWNING and DUTCH BANANA to name a few.
Only one finalist dog returned for this years derby. RB's BOUNTY was the previous years favorite, but fell early in the ra...ce.
The $50, 000 American Greyhound Derby hopefuls were: VIEW FINDER, RB'S BOUNTY, THUNDERER, SARA SARA, TRAPMAN, M'S EXCALIBRE, PRINCE PROPER and RB'S JUSTICE. Favored to win was TRAPMAN.
There are three Grade AA races as well as three Grade A races. A few of the dogs in the AA race were:SURFIRE JOLLY, HOMSPUN ROWDY, JIMMY JOE DOE, CHE DAVID, BLOW SMOKE, EXCEPTION, NOVEL AGREEMENT, SUNRISE DEW and TEL AVIV.
A few in the A races were: JO'S MONEY BAG, DARIN DOROTHY, ACR GINO, MARYVILLE DREAM, TALENT MAC and TROUBLE WORK.
