This item is a 36" right handed hickory shafted iron. It is an early smooth face mashie style club. Marked for Ry Hunter who was the pro and Sandwich. Made by Anderson of Anstruther Scotland. The head is clean and not all rusted. It does have the expected play nicks and dings. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. It has a bend, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. All hickory shafted clubs should b...e re-set prior to play. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in loose and in poor vintage condition. 40* loft and a C 2 swingweight for play. If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 2 pound box.
