I am always trying to offer the nicest vintage watches here on eBay. I am reducing my personal collection and this very clean Men's Girard-Perregaux Alarm watch has been in my personal collection for years. I believe this is a rather rare timepiece. This is an all stainless steel vintage Men's Girard Perr...egaux Swiss mechanical watch that dates back to the 1950's. Hard to believe this watch is over 60+ years old. The cushion shaped case measures 35.2 mm wide not including the 2 crowns and has 18 mm lug spacing. Has a screw-off case back. Check out this handsome blue SIGNED dial on this 60+ watch. I believe it is original but I leave this to the bidder to decide. The dial does say SWISS at the bottom. Has silver applied line segment hour markers and luminescent dots at the outer side of the hour markers. Matching silver hands with luminescent inserts. Center sweep silver hand. There is an Alarm sector window at the 6 o'clock position. The upper crown, marked with an "A", at the 2 o'clock position adjusts the sector wheel for setting the alarm time and initiating the alarm. The lower crown at the 4 o'clock position is a normal wind and set the time crown. This is a manual wind mechanical watch and is NOT currently running. This watch will tick for a second or two and stops. This 1960's S/S Girard-Perregaux watch will need to be serviced. I am selling this GP watch as-is and as found. Please bid accordingly.
