ANTIQUE 19th CHINESE MONGOLIAN SILVER BUDDHIST HAIR PIN ORNAMENT CORAL TURQUOISEDescription:An antique Mongolian or Chinese silver hair ornament of large proportions, part of a lavish hair parure, dating to the late Qing Period (1644-1912).The scroll form hair ornament is embellished with the eight Buddhist symbols along its length, the barrel end set with coral and turquoise beads and stones. Ornaments such as this were used in ceremonial dress, and such an ornate example was likely p...art of the ornamentation for a wealthy individual.
