A superb silver antoninianus struck during the reign of Trajan Decius. The reverse depicts two female figures holding military standards – personifications of the provinces of Pannonia Superior and Pannonia Inferior. An appropriate choice of imagery to celebrate on his coinage as it was the Pannonian legions that Decius owed for his Victory over Philip the Arab.
