Very old, rough hewn hand carved whirligig. Painted in primary colors, and shows considerable wear to the paint, with very nice crackled aging.
Dimensions: Man is 10.5" tall (piece is a total of 14" tall with extended paddles.)
No maker marks, but style suggests it was likely crafted in England (also, possibly new England) circa 1900 or before.
Still in excellent physical condition, sturdy, and with rotating paddles operating and intact.
A one-of-a-kind piece of f...olk art.
