Classic crescent and star shape with jewels and enameled symbols.
This badge tested 14k+ yellow gold.It is fully jeweled. 10 mine cut diamonds and dark green faceted gemstones. (I think emeralds).I tested all the diamonds and they are great looking in person.
It was hard for the scanner to capture the jewels. They looked colored, so I took a few photos with the phone. Those are more tru...e to how it looks in person.Also, this pin arrived with about half or more of the black enamel missing. So I took off the remainder. It really has a unique look now!All the enameled symbols are in excellent condition.
My guess is Victorian era... late 1800's. It is a thin design. T-hinge pin slips into thin knuckle style catch with whale-tail spinner lock. Works fine.
Measures a full 5/8" diameter.
