Original Description:
A great World War II piece.  The Lionel Company stoped producing trains during WW II and started making ship's compasses for the US Navy.  This is one of those compasses.  Comes in it's original wood case (size:  11-1/2 x 11-1/2 x 6-1/4).  On the case is a brass identification plate (see third photo).
