This is a vintage G.H. Huller metal bass clarinet from the 1940's. I had it overhauled by the legendary Los Angeles repair man and woodwind manufacturer Rheuben Allen. It plays better than my wooden bass clarinet. The altissimo range is way more stable and responsive, it's louder and weighs a lot less than the wooden one. The tone is rich and full as well. This thing is awesome, I used to play this and tenor sax on my jazz casual gigs. It's absolutel...y perfect for jazz! It goes down to a low E and comes with the vintage unmarked mouthpiece that was with it when I bought it. I hate to sell this but I rarely play bass clarinet anymore and I need to clear out some of my gear sadly.
