Unusual antique Victorian carved unmounted shell cameo of Psyche. In Greek mythology she is the goddess of the soul and is the wife of Eros and the mother of Hedone. This is a fine quality shell cameo skillfully carved in high relief. Very unusual subject matter. Could be mounted into any piece of jewellery such as a brooch or pendant or bracelet.
