Up for auction is a vintage Orvis Impregnated Battenkill 7' spinning rod. The serial number, 15589, dates the rod to March of 1954. Overall this in in very nice shape and has been well taken care of. There is an imprint of a reel foot on the cork handle but it is otherwise whole. The cork is darkened with no ridging. All the wraps are clean with no drying or cracking. The guides are the same though the tip top guide does have some very light corrosio...n on its underside. Both sections are full length with the tip section having a very minor set to it(it is hardly noticeable). This is in both usable and collectable condition. The tube and sock are both correct though the label has long since worn off. Please feel free to ask any questions.
