1918 Golf Medal, "Presented By John D. Rockefeller" for "Victory Golf Medal" of the "United War Work Drive" Campaign To Raise Funds for needy victims in France. The obverse bears a portrait of Marshal Foch, who was the Supreme Commander Of the Allied Forces in WW1, with his name below. The reverse pictures a golf "green" with a golf ball approaching the hole, and two eagles fighting, above. It is dated November 16, 1918, and the sculptor's signature W. Mobray Clarke, ...Sc. is below. Evidently a gift to the golfers who participated in the match. Bronze, 62 mm diameter, and in nice condition except for some dark spots. A scarce early U.S. Golf related medal.
