CIRCA: 1935 (D)Buffalo nickels were in circulation in the US...A from 1913-1938.Many times 'hobos' would carve these nickels using crude tools and trade them for a meal or sell them at a profit. This coin is hand carved nickel by SteveOrino, who is a present day artist. He is a member of the Original Hobo Nickel Society. Member #1531. His illustrations and cartoons have graced the pages of Saturday Evening Post, TV Guide, Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Woman's World, Christianity Today and hundreds of other publications.
