Original Description:
This 40 Star United States Parade Flag is printed on coarse, glazed cotton.  The Flag measures 12 1/4 inches by 18 inches, the dowel which is broken off at the bottom measures 21 inches.  The Star pattern on the Flag is rows of 7-6-7-7-6-7.  The 40 Star Flag is an unofficial Flag, as there were only 40 States for six days in 1889, after the addition of the Dakotas and before the addition of Montana.  TheFlag is an estate find in original condition, the Flag was roll...ed around the dowel and will be shipped rolled.
