12" C ANTIQUE RUSSIAN HAND PAINTED CARPET BALLPurchased this from a local yard sale of one of my favorite elderly couples that live a couple blocks from my shore house at the Jersey Shore. The lovely lady held a yard sale every May, along with the township wide welcome to summer yard sale event. She has since passed away. She told me this ball was made in the old country. Her and her husband were from Croatia. They immigrated to the US in the 1920s. She had the most unusual awesome thi...ngs whenever she had her sales and I was sure to stop at her annual yard sale for a great pick up.BALL MEASURES 12" diameter Weighs 15 ozs.it's nice and it's quite hardy. there are no chips or cracks
