Vintage Miniature Dollhouse IGMA Artisan Carol Pongracic Bald Eagle Porcelain
This is a wonderful, vintage porcelain bald eagle figurine. It is made of porcelain and has been hand painted with great attention to detail by the talented IGMA miniature artisan, Carol Pongracic. It is signed on the bottom, and dated 1982. There is so much love that has gone into this piece!
This wonderful little miniature was from a collection, 40 years in the making. Every collection h...as a story and this one is well, just wonderfully special. I was surprised to see such a tiny home with so many minis, the story behind the person, is that she lived a grand life in a large home, she traveled the world in search for artisan miniatures and boy did she find them. This collection is so vast, it features miniatures from artisans Herbillon, Alan Barnes, John Hodgson, Targoni, Ligia, Wonnacott, Jim Irish, William Robertson, Cristina Noriega, Harry Smith, Ernie Levy, Robert Dawson, Keith Bougourd, Maritza Moran, Neil Batson, Susanne Russo, Acquisto, Renee Isabelle, Kupjack, O'meara, Obadiah Fisher, EM Silver, Marcia Backstrom, Wee Forest Folk, Henry Staring-Egberts, Tricia Street, Le Chateau, Ana Felipe, Christopher Whitford, Christine Dell'Anna, Paula Gilhooley, Almudena Gonzalez and more. All of these artisans have been amazing to discover, but what was so 'wonderfully' special to me, was in the last years of her life, she sold her estate, moved to a small home and surrounded herself with all of the things that made her happy...her miniatures and I know she would want each piece to find a wonderful new collection to reside within.
