This is a beautiful andadorable Navajo style sterling silver tourist spoon made into pendant datingmost likely to Fred Harvey Era (Circa 1910) and is made to appear as old Indianhand crafted spoon made by Indian silversmiths. Indian silversmith usedAmerican or Mexican silver coins. In the bowl it features punched decorations around, inside a swastika (good luck sign of Indians) on top, below two crossed arrowsand a bow. Swastika was good luck Indian symbol and also referred as wheeling...logs. Nothing to do with later swastikaassociated with the German Nazis. It ismade to look like early punched Navajo design and hand hammered, cut, chiseledand filed condition is rudimentary as expected without breaks or repairs. Typicallythese types of spoons were made as souvenirs from states such as New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Texas or California.
