Antique Primitive Unusual Wire Rug Beater with Diamond Design
The Rug Beater has a Twisted Wire Handle with Wood at the end. There is a diamond shape at the top in the center of two (2) long wires. Unusual & Rare Design!
Rug or Carpet Beaters were the Original Method of cleaning rugs. The Rugs were hung over a clothesline & then beaten. Not easy but effective! Still usable today!
Not for the perfectionist ...but for the lover of time worn shabby chic beauty!
USED CONDITION: There are the normal scruffs & scratches to the rug beater due to use & storage. The metal beater design is slightly misshapen which is typical of rug beaters due to their heavy use. There is some surface rust to the metal. The finish is worn on the wood handle. Needs to be cleaned, if desired.
