Amazing, large steamer chest/trunk with gold leaf inlay decorations on top and front and back sides. See photos - incredible antique trunk. Inside has super beautifully carved compartments that comes out to allow access to large compartment inside trunk. Additional interesting long, carved compartment on side of inner storage - might have been used for wine or other bottles. See photos - very cool. This trunk was taken off ship in India/Bangladesh by my father - he shipped it to the st...ates. An incredible, rare and unique trunk for home, business, design shop, collector. The trunk would also be an incredible gift. Inside compartments are carved wood. Wonderful, interesting storage inside trunk (see photos). Not sure of age - maybe early 1900's. (Also - See photo of carved inside compartment taken out to show the unique storage in trunk.)The top of trunk has a two light water rings and small spots where gold decorative piping/framing is bent. These can be fixed. The rest of the trunk - sides, inside, carved compartments is excellent condition.
