Antique Waltham, 14ct Rolled Gold, 7 Jewel, Pocket Watch, Runs Needs Attention. The Waltham 14ct rolled gold, 7 Jewel open face pocket watch runs loosing 5 minutes over 24 hours, but the crown is stuck and won't engage to set the hands (I've remove the front bezel to set the time by hand). I would recommend a service as I'm not sure of when it was last run or serviced and hopefully this would resolve this problem. The white enamel face has a hair line crack from the 10 o'clock to the 5... o'clock. It has black Roman numerals with A.W.W.CO. WALTHAM MASS. under the 12 o'clock and a separate second hand dial at 6 o'clock. The hour and minute hands are a gold tone and the second hand is blue steel with the crystal a acrylic replacement. The case has no major damage with sound hinges and closing tightly. It has a worn engine turned pattern with a blank cartouche in the centre. Inside the case its stamped TRADE MARK A.L.D with sun, moon and star logos. Inside the dust cover it's stamped GUARANTEED TO BE MADE OF TWO PLATES OF 14CT GOLD WITH PLATE OF COMPOSITION BETWEEN AND TO WEAR 20 YEARS. The hand wound gilt movement runs loosing 5 minutes over 24 hours but the crown doesn't engage to set the hands. The movement has 7 Jewels and is stamped A.W.W.Co. WALTHAM.MASS and the serial number 6455981. The size 16s watch measures 2" in diameter and weighs 103g.
