VintageDoll Eegee Playpal Type TANDY / BUFFY 35” 1960s Not Talking This is avintage companion doll (similar to Ideal’s Patti Playpal) from Eegee in theearly 1960s. She is about 35” – 36” talland marked “36-2” on the back of her head. She is named Tandy Talks, but is also called Buffy, from the FamilyAffair TV show, due to a strong resemblance to the child actress.Here, Tandy/ Buffy has blonde hair in curly pigtails. She has freckles and open and shut eyes ...with full lashes. The eyes are a bit cloudy. Her head, arms, and legs are jointed. One arm can hold poses, while the other islooser. On her back is a crack, which istaped. Tandy was a talking doll. This girl is missing both the speaker infront and the pull string in back. Amakeshift cover is hiding the cavity in the chest. Buffy does still walk.Buffy has acute sailor type blue plaid dress. It isactually a Danbury Shirley Temple dress, but seems to work for a short 1960sstyle as well. She also wears ruffledpanties, socks and vinyl shoes (one strap broken).Tandy /Buffy is a used and played-with vintage doll.
