Exquisite antique Chinese Ding Ware (定窑) whiteporcelain incised bowl.Circa 1890s.The beautiful bowl has incised design of floral scroll work on theinside. There are two deer on opposite side facing each other.Beautiful off-white transparent glaze covers the entire bowlincluding the base.The bowl was fired upside down in the kiln. The rim is thereforeunglazed.Ding Ware came from kilns of Northern China such as HebeiProvince. Ding ware was most popular and at its peak during the Song... Dynasty(11th century). The white glaze is noted for a slight creamy tint, apart fromwhich it is transparent. Ding ware were mostly undecorated except for incisedpatterns. Ding ware is quite different from Qing Bai ware.
