As close to pristine as you can find anywhere. A 1948 (patent date) Sessions Electric Clock in perfect running order. I have had this, unplugged, in a glass show case for over 30 years. I have plugged it in for the last 2 weeks and it runs quietly and accurately. There is a time set knob on the back. A sweep second hand functions properly and the clock runs without making noise. The plug appears to be original and is good. The deco style case is solid walnut, not veneer and is immacula...te. The pot metal horse and driver are undamaged and the original reins are intact. Horse and rider may have been repainted at some point in the past and the paint is good, although there is a scuff on the base that will not show up in the picture. The glass bezel is crystal clear, there is no dust behind it, and the dial is excellent. Award clocks were typically ordered from a jewelry store, and this one has a brass engraved plaque, "Fairfield, Ill, Trot 25, Frank Dixson Trucking, Sponsor". The plaque is not pitted. Clock measures 8 3/4" long, x about 3" deep, by about 9 3/4" to the top of the horses head. Probably one of the nicest 70 year old working electric clocks that you will find. The clock is running accurately, but no warranty or representation is made as to its mechanical longevity. Please enlarge the photos as they are part of the description.
