Fantastic antique Edwardian match striker and holder. This one is unusual in that the sterling lines the cup as well as the rim. Ribbed glass holder for easy match striking. Sterling silver mount with full British hallmarks. Lion for sterling silver, anchor for Birmingham with date letter Z for 1899. Maker appears to be HG. There are a few small flea bite chips to the glass holder. A couple dents to the silver mount. Piece measures 3 1/8" high by 3 1/2" wide. The sterling c...up is 1" deep and the collar is 1/2" wide. The bottom measures 1 1/2" across and is slightly concave. Because of this the bottom shows no wear. Good condition for its age. I have tried to take pictures from all angles but Questions are certainly welcomed. This is the largest of a total of 4 glass and sterling match strikers that I will be listing. Please see my other listings to view the other three.
