Up for sale is this antique signed George Howell Gay seascape watercolor painting. Featuring waves crashing into rocks near the shore with birds flying above and a ship in the distance. I believe it maybe a Gloucester scene, but it is not identified. Framed it measures about 22 3/4” x 16 5/8”, image measures about 14” x 8” visible. The frame has considerable wear, including damage to each corner and some loosening at the joints. The painting is mounted to the backing which has ...become separated from the matting, so it is currently a bit offset in the frame, so you going to have to either re-mat it or reattach the 2 pieces on center.
