Machinist Squares. D. B. &S. or Darling Brown and Sharpe was the precursor to Brown and Sharpe. Beloware the size of the Squares and the marking on them: 1 – Measures 6-1/2” (from thebeam) x 1-3/8” wide. This is marked very fancy in cursive: ...B.F. WELSH, 1880. 2 – Measures 3-1/8” (from thebeam) x 15/16” wide 3 – Measures 1-11/16”” (fromthe beam) x 3/8” wide. This is marked very fancy in cursive: R.C. ROYES. There are some minor marksfrom the age. These have held up very wellfor being just under 150 years old.
