LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING (LVC) 1954 501Z Rigid - USA Production!
The quintessential American blue jean, this 1954 501Z jean is an historic reproduction of the classic 501 Shrink to Fit as it appeared in the mid 50’s. Made with the same original 12oz. Cone Mills White Oak selvedge denim, the 1954 iteration was given the “Z” designation because it was the first 501 made with a zipper fly.
Levi's introduced Levi's Vintage Clothing to keep the history of Levi's denim alive: S...ince 1999, the famous historical originals from the Levi's archives in San Francisco, dating back to 1880, are faithfully reincarnated, all in limited edition. The ring spun denim is still woven on 29" wide vintage shuttle looms in Greensboro, North Carolina by Cone Mills, with whom Levi Strauss & Co have been working for 100+ years.
