Luxurious and beautiful salad plate by Martial Redon, Limoges. This plate features a gold center medallion on white porcelain encircled by a gold band, then a rich cobalt blue border. The scalloped rim is encrusted in gold in a pattern of flowers, scrolls, and tracery. The brand marks on the back are a red "M. REDON" over "LIMOGES" within a circle, indicating the plate probably was made between 1890 and 1896*, and "LIMOGES" over "FRANCE" in green.
The plate is 8 1/2 inches in diame...ter. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and no obvious wear to the gold. There are a few very faint tine scratches in the medallion (see photographs).Ships with USPS Priority Mail.
