Original Description:
Beautiful antique oak 4"x6" index card filing box. The box measures 6 3/4" long x 4 1/8" deep x 4 7/8" tall. Inside is 6 1/8 " wide x 3 5/8" deep x 4 1/2" tall. The box is constructed of 5/16" solid oak and uses fingerjoints for strength. Broken hardware was replaced with period appropriate ones. Refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Inside of lid and bottom are lined with new green felt. Excellent conditi...on. All joints are solid. No cracks, scratches or splits in the wood. Felt pads for easy handling and to protect furniture. Shipping weight approximately 2 pounds.
