A magnificent Gold Franc a Pied of late medieval France. Fully Extremely Fine with most details sharply stuck up. There are minor scratches on the obverse at the king's legs, not overly severe. Issued for king Charles V, who ruled, 1364-1380. The coin is undated. The king is standing within a dais on the obverse holding sword and sceptre. Reverse has a small cross within a quadrilobe with two crowns and two fleur de lis in the angles. Weight is 3.8 Gm. Bordering on rare and very seldom... offered. A great opportunity!
