Here we have an exceptionally fine quality and quite beautiful ~ VINTAGE REUGE DOUBLE SINGING BIRD AUTOMATON MUSIC BOX WITH ALARM CLOCK ~ . PLEASE UNDERSTAND we are selling it as found, from an estate for restoration. The condition is about as nice as you could ever hope to find, although it is not working. It looks like it has hardly ever been used at all, near mint condition. We put some batteries in it, and the clock does work but we can't get the birds to work. I would imagin...e you just push the button on the side to activate it, although nothing happens. The button does not click on and off like you would expect a button to do? so it may be something as simple as a button but we honestly just don't know?. This is not the type of thing we normally deal in and I imagine the collectors will certainly know more about it than we do. We did see similar ones were extremely expensive to purchase new from Reuge in Switzerland. It measures approximately 12 inches tall by 7 inches across at the base.
