You are bidding on a gorgeous & hard to find KOREAN WAR USMC MARINE CORPS BASE 48 STAR AMERICAN FLAG BY VALLEY FORGE FLAG CO. Dated 1952 from the largest supplier of American Flags to the US Government. This beautiful flag measures over 9' by 4 1/2' and is made of all-weather, totally stitched nylon. All the stars are stitched on, not printed. There are metal hooks for attaching the the Marine Corps base flag pole. I don't know which base this if from.... The flag is in such good condition because it was received by the USMC probably in 1952-55. By 1959 Hawaii & Alaska were added so they had to replace this one with a 50 Star American Flag.
