Description Her...e is a rare original August 1968 mini SCHWINN STINGRAY 16" BICYCLE! (HD Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This is a hard to find bike and people LOVE them! They never seem to come along in any condition! This bike has been in long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing RADIANT COPPERTONE GOLD factory painted color. The bike has cool mini handlebars, cool hand grips, cool rear sissy bar, a 16" banana seat, (no rear tag, not sure if original or replaced?) original chain guard, (has a fresh decal) and so much more! This one has chrome non knurled wheels front and rear with a Bendix hub. Has vintage Schwinn Spitfire tires that do hold air. I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original single speed with operable brakes. Enjoy it just like it is or this is a great start for your "mini" krate bike!*This is super cool that this bike still exists! Usually they were passed on from one child to the next, to the next, to the next. They are normally abused and worn out then thrown away once the smallest child has grown up! I am happy this one is still around and able to get a 2nd chance at life! *Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out Ebay, the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age. Usually theses are handed down from kid to kid and destroyed over the years! Happy this one survived. The paint looks ok for a 50+ year old boys bike! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) The seat post seems to be stuck on this one. They do eventually come out with a little penetrating oil and some patience. (my guy oiled it once already) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.

Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment.
