The painting technique is very softly painted, mostly you will see brushstrokes and lines done in these types of love scene but this is very blended and soft throughout. The trinket box like this is very popular from this time, most were placed at the dresser with the vanity mirror and were used to keep valuable items such as small p...ieces of jewelry.This trinket is from Ca 1850 but still in good condition no chips cracks or repairs gold gilded still in good clean shiny condition !! Measuring about 2.8” diameter x 2” h
