A lovely Art Deco silver and teak tea service designed by Philippe Wolfers and executed at Wolfers Frères in 1927. The service is of the design "Aline" designed in 1927. The tea service shows Philippe already looking forward to the simpler cleaner lines of the 1930's. A lovely piece of Art Deco by this great designer.
The teapot measures 25 cm in length, 15 cm in width and 14 cm in height. The sugarpot measures 17.5 cm in length, 11 cm in width and 11 cm in height. The cr...eamer measures 15 cm in length, 9.5 cm in width and 6.5 cm in height. They weigh 1564 gram in total, making it a very heavy, good quality set. They are all marked with the wolfers mark(three stars in triangle) 833, Dutch import mark and modelnr sf54 and sf55 respectively.They have some minor wear consistent with age, and one of the wooden handles of the sugar pot has a tiny chip off it, but otherwise the set is in good condition.
