My Father's leather gloves. He was a pilot in the US Air Force from 1944 to 1968.
These are leather gloves with no lining. The leather is dark brown. On the back of both hands is the Army Air Force logo and "U.S. Air Force". The gloves say 'Size 7 1/2', but they seem small to me. ( maybe they have shrunk since the war. ) These are 11 inch long from wrist to middle finger tip. &n...bsp; They are 4 inches wide. They weight 2.2 ounces.
Inside both gloves is stamped in white : U.S. Air Force Gloves, Flying, Leather, Summer Type B-3A, Specification Mil-G-9087A, Size 7 1/2" And there is the 'Army Air Force' logo in a circle. This pair of gloves is in very nice condition. There are no holes, no tears, and no stains. The leather is soft and flexible. There is very light wear on the insides of the finger tips. There is a very slight smell of moth balls.
