Offered in this sale is an antique original 1890s Thomas Edison GEM Cylinder reproducer that is being offered in AS FOUND condition at the estate of a local woman who recalls this being in her family all of her life (she is currently in her 90s). I know nothing at all about these early phono...graphs. It is clearly been sitting around unused and unattended for years. It measures roughly 9 3/4" x 7 1/2" at the base. Overall it is roughly 10" tall to the top of the handle when the domed cover is in place. It weighs a little over ten pounds with the cover. This piece is being sold with nine original cylinders in various states of condition. One appear to be broken, however, several look as if they were never opened or used. The machine is in need of some tender loving care by an enthusiast who can take their time reconditioning it. Other than the missing crank, I believe it is complete. Again, I know nothing about these old machines so if you have specific questions do not hesitate to send me a message with any inquires. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and the condition and do not hesitate to send me a message if you have questions or would like additional images. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is $15.00.The last image illustrate just one of the many other items I have or will be posting separately for sale on Ebay from several different estate collections including roughly a dozen genuine authentic vintage 1940s - 1950s signed Hollywood movie celebrity photographs including Julie Andrews and Susan Strasberg. In addition, I am selling my personal collection of North Carolina Pottery pieces by Stacy Lambert as well as a collection of antique papier mache French Theater or Carnival masks. In addition I have a small group of antique/ancient French stoneware relic jugs that were excavated on the Chateau fort de Lourdes site in the Pyranees in the 20th century. I am also continuing to post and eclectic mix of antique to contemporary china glass and accessories including flow blue china, Sunderland lusterware, a number of pieces of Historical Staffordshire china, quite a few ADDITIONAL scarce/rare pieces from a collection of British Royal Commemorative china, Rosenthal porcelain and an assorted lot of Victorian to mid century jewelry, a small collection of 19th and early 20th century Chinese and Japanese porcelain and ceramics, Royal Doulton Toby Mugs and Royal Aynsley china, Scandinavian art glass, antique photo album and photographs, Nippon, California pottery, old U.S. and World Stamps, a number of piece of vintage Chinese Cultural Revolution memorabilia, Soviet Russian and Chinese Cultural Revolution pins and caps, American and Continental art pottery, a Werner Jacobsen pottery New Hope Pa artist colony mug along with an eclectic mix of other 18th - 20th century American, English, Continental and Chinese ceramics, porcelain, glass and accessories.
