A large chromolithograph of fantastical Dragons designed by master Art Noveau graphic artist Anton Seder in 1898 from his rare portfolio entitled "Das Thier in der Decortiven Kunst." Anton Seder is considered one of the most capable artists of Art Noveau , a style of art, which was named after the Munich Youth magazine . His versatile talents first allowed him to work as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Bavarian metropolis, as a decorat...or at the School of Applied Arts, as an architect and painter, and also with his brother. Several stays in Italy and his education in Munich were conducive to his professional development as professor and director in Strasbourg. Seder devoted himself in his artistic work to the plant in art and the animal in decorative art as well as naturalistic Decoration paintings. For the goldsmith Atelier Heiden in Munich, Anton Seder supplied his artistically imaginative templates for the production of honor chains and decorative cups as well as table inserts made of precious metals, some of which were decorated with precious stones.This is one of three Dragon prints from this portfolio that we are listing.
