These Famous slugger Yearbooks were issued by Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of the Louisville Slugger brand beseball bats. This one is from 1974, the year that Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's career home run record. Hank Aaron is duly pictured on the cover, along with Mr Hillerich. The back cover, ironically features a picture of the Bambino himself in a Hillerich & Bradsby ad. Inside are photos of the sluggers of the day including Pete Rose, Carlton Fisk, Carl Yastrzemski, and Dust...y Baker. There are also team pictures of various youth baseball championshihp teams from around the USA. It's fun to look on them for names of future major leaguers. In a very cursory look, I spotted future Detroit Tiger, MIckey Tettleton as a 15 year old. It's been in my collection over 40 years and is in excellent condition, except for some very slight "age discoloration on the white cover(see scan). There are no marks, tears, or creases.
