Genuine Period Water Slide Decal
Flight Helmet, Window, Etc.
This is not a reproduction, it is true to the period of the squadron. My guess is Korean War period. Note that the business address on the back does not include a zone number OR zip code.
This is an elusive squadron to find information on; it appears it was a Naval Reserve unit early in the jet age and has been largely forgotten.
About the only refer...ence widely available is reproduction patches on eBay. If you Google "Squadron VA Jet 851", one of the first sites to come up is a navy archives "The Best of" site picturing a matching original patch we received at the same time as this decal that we sold in 2014 for $641.00
We have 10 decals available in identical condition. Bid is per decal.
