PRESTO 1-D CUTTER HEAD
This auction is for a Presto record cutting head (Model 1-D), 1x Brand New Long Shank Sapphire Embossing Stylus and 5x Brand New Tungsten Embossing Cones.
This is a mono record cutting head. I was told that this cutting head was rewound recently by Todd at Deep Grooves but I have no way to confirm this. I did use this head (w/ another Sapphire Stylus) and it seemed to be working properly. However, due to the nature of vintage electronics, these items are be...ing sold AS-IS.
It says 500 OHM on the back of this cutting head but the person I bought it from said it will work with any 8 OHM receiver (I'm not sure if this was rewired for 8 OHM ????). I used it with my 8 OHM receiver by running the leads out of the Speaker Outputs. It worked fine. I have no way to test how many OHMs this head actually is so it is being sold as UNTESTED/ AS-IS . My turntable speed was not correct and that is why I now have no use for this head or needles and that is why I am selling them.
