QUITE unusual Antique Calling Card Tray w Framed Gilt Motto which invites the guests to leave their cards. Perfect period piece for the front hall table--or could be a conversation started as wall decor.(Please disregard reflections and shadows. I have trouble with reflective surfaces!!!)Measures 10 and 1/2 inches by 5 and 1/2 inches, NOT counting the handles. Would also fit with Mission style decor.

Dark ground with lots of gold in the print, which shows flowers as well as text.Two metal handles, painted. Brown backing paper.Wooden frame is painted white with tiny blue and white carved motif. No maker that I can see.(I did not take the tray apart to see if the printer was named.)Condition is very nice antique. Likely from the early 1900s. Paper beneath the glass shows slight rippling, but no sign of dampness damage. Some paint loss on sides. Handles are secure. Glass is fine.Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
